The South Asia Institute (SAI) at the University of Texas at Austin is organizing “The Texas South Asia Conference” to be held April 20-21, 2012. The conference will cover a wide range of disciplines in the social sciences and the humanities and provide a forum of discussion and dialogue for scholars who work on the region of South Asia at Texas universities and colleges.
SAI will cover two days of accommodation for most registered participants who come from outside the Austin area. Some meals will also be included as part of the conference. Participants will need to cover their own travel expenses. To register for the conference and submit a paper or panel proposal, please go to the following link and click on “Register Here.”
Registration and proposals are due on February 15, 2012. Panel decisions will be announced in early March.
